Empty cradle rocking in Time

Slowly she smoothens his dusty clothes,
arranging them in the wooden stand,
along with teddy bears and plastic cars,
never will sparkle his electric wand.

Muted sighs had dried the tears,
her numb world no longer lament,
dragging each day, faking a smile,
trying to frame dispersed moments.

Chaos had suddenly darkened that day,
heavily she paid for their crime,
now grimly watches her forlorn eyes,
Empty cradle rocking in time.

**Written for a another challenge - Karan, a fellow Poet, had tagged me to write about a mother who had lost her only son in a bomb blast.

::Silent Echo::

Haven't written much for a long time... Some random verses ... :)

Silent voices echo
in the corridors
of a solitary night

Drenched in teaspoonful
of distant dream-dust,
sprinkled by a lonely star,
Images rush by.

All I ever needed was

a shelter in your heart.

[Thursday Poet's Rally Week 15]::Conspiracies of Time::

Here's my Poem for jingle's Thursday Poet's Rally week 15.

Conspiracies Of time

A breeze of remembrance
ruffled distance memories
whispering soliloquies,
flickered imageries.
Beneath silky moonlight,
twirling to silver notes,
surging in passionate tide
waltzing in our dream-boats.

Since then, years have passed,
but love you, and miss you still,
wonder, how you would look now,
fishing near your favorite rill.
Daffodils- no longer flourish,
Seasons perform discord rhyme,
Tumbling leaves gently remind,
Obscure conspiracies of time.

 *********************

Last Spring

Pink satin ribbons,
ribbons of yester's smile,
smile tightly embrace,
embrace me for a while.

While I walk along,
along the summer streets,
streets warm, still frozen,
frozen with memories.

Memories of spring,
springs up each day,
day and night have swapped,
swapped since you went away.

::Thursday Poet's Rally:: Dawn to dusk

Dawn to Dusk (Minute Poetry)

Crowing bird greeting the first rays
Azure display
Shimmering dew
Swaying bamboo

Scorching sun crowning midnoon blue
Dusty milieu
Summer heat
Sizzling treat

Orange billows bedeck horizon
Rich creation
Silky moonlight
Enchanting sight.
