Once upon a moonlight

Fireflies melt
into moon-eyed shadows
howling lullabies
of nocturne,

fidgety squirrels

in tiny cracks
of a Fallen Oak,
tracing Orion.

The woods were lovely,
once,

when the night

while Venus kissed
gurgling fountains,
and Sirius picked
wild mushrooms.
