Frail womb of abandoned land,
yester's bloom sleeps on sand,

Spring smothered by concrete,
limp wings, desperately plead,

Summer steadily blaze,
dissolving winter's grace.

Form: Essence
The Essence, created by Emily Romano is a short, structured form of two-lines, six syllables each with an end rhyme and internal rhyme.

::Whispering Memories::

Whispering moments
of timeless love
surge in my heart,

obsolete promises wander,
abandoned by
capricious words,

Acidic memories,
drenched me again
last night,

Why still stands,
solitary lighthouse
of ethereal Rhapsody?

Forever waiting
to guide,
you to me.

I wrote this for an image contest -  a challenge where a poem had to be written based on the image provided. I am glad to say that my write was the winner for this image ~Smiles~

::Counterfeit Reality::

I wrote the following nature poem for a word challenge given by a fellow poetry club mate. She gave 10 words, and I had to form a poem using all of those words in the poem.

Counterfeit Reality

Counterfeit emotions swirl,
Mystifying blaring virtuality,
probing electronic socket,
scans scorching August sky.

Binocular vision-rummages
through rotten humanity,
Concrete city of metal
panics on a curved future.
Basket of ancient blossoms,
showcased in gallery,
symbolizing - sphere of life
that existed, once upon a time.
